It only took 5 years into this program for me to create one... but I did it! A protein bar that is approved! This one is flavoured peanut butter ... just figured you would not oppose... but feel free to shake it up and create these ProBars in other varieties!
1 2/3 cup Oat flour
2/3 cup Protein powder
1/2 cup Maple syrup (I used sugar free)
1 cup Nut butter
1 tbs Maple extract
1/2 tsp Salt
1-2 tablespoons Butterscotch or peanut butter chips
Mix everything together in a medium mixing bowl. Stir until dough forms and everything is well combined. Press into a 9x9 inch baking pan sprayed with cooking spray. Top with chips if butterscotch chips if desired, lightly pressing them into the dough.
Cut dough into 12 even size bars and wrap individually if desired for easy grab and go. Store in fridge for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months.
Be sure to enjoy this bar with 1/2 protein shake or 10 additional grams of protein for the perfect balance !
