Chocolate Chip Scones


  • 2 cups almond flour

  • 1/4 cup coconut flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/3 cup coconut oil melted

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

  • 1 egg, whisked.

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • 1 cup dark chocolate, I chopped up a bar


  1. Preheat oven to 350F

  2. In a large bowl, mix almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, and salt.

  3. Pour coconut oil into dry ingredients, followed by maple syrup, whisked egg, and vanilla.

  4. Stir until a dough-like consistency.

  5. Fold in chocolate.

  6. Place dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet and form it into a round shape. Flatten slightly into a disk.

  7. Cut into 6 equal pieces and separate on a baking sheet.

  8. Bake for 18-25 minutes or until slightly golden brown. Keep an eye on them after 15 minutes.

  9. Let cool before eating. Enjoy! Makes 6 scones. Serving size 1.
